Strawberries...and more (II)



Because I had a lot of strawberry sauce leftover I had to do something with it...and I made strawberry shortcakes trifles! I had never made a shortcake before and it was hard to decide which recipe to try out of the thousands recipes I found online.

Strawberries...and more (I)

I am just now posting these pictures although I made these strawberry shortcake trifles like a month ago, when the strawberry season was on. Nearby my house, there is a strawberry farm where you can pick your own strawberries! What can be fresher than that? I ate them fresh, I got them "drunk" and made trifles out of them and also I made a fluted cake...soo delicious!
For the strawberry sauce,I used raspberry liquor (2 types), grand marnier,blackberry liquor and cognac,lemon juice,lemon zest, nutmeg and white sugar. It was good to eat it by itself with a spoon



Toasted coconut marshmallows


I made homemade marshmallows!! I was so impressed!
